The fifth cycle of Kaunas STP business pre-acceleration program was officially launched this Friday, on March 19. This time EVOLUT 4.0 has brought together not only Lithuanian startups, but also teams from all Europe on a startup development journey. 15 teams began a three-month spring session of practical business development sessions, workshops and mentoring. The closing event in May, Pitching Day for the investors’ community, will open up opportunities for the most promising participants to attract the first investments.
"Congratulations to the joined teams - you have jumped into more than one opportunity; we open the door to other activities for the most active teams. We present more than just the business pre-acceleration program community. Together with international partners, they are involved in other international initiatives, such as the Scale-up Champions, which supports scaling in new European markets, the Urban Tech project for the development of solutions for the smart city. So, accept the challenge of the spring session and take as much as you can,” the program was presented by Paulius Nezabitauskas, the director of Kaunas Science and Technology Park, which coordinates the EVOLUT 4.0 program.
This spring, online pre-acceleration program has expanded the circle of participants. Teams from universities in Poland, Serbian business incubators and other European science parks also participated in the selection of the program. The spectrum of technologies developed by the selected teams is very wide. Startups create interactive platforms, software based on edtech, legaltech, robotics, innovation for smart cities.
“Intensive training sessions that consistently integrate the key stages of a startup’s development will help teams to skyrocket into a successful innovation community. During the program we provide tools such as knowledge, mentorship, networking with entrepreneurs and the investors and provide not only experience of mentors, lecturers or business development methodologies. Today, it is very important not only to get the latest insights in a rapidly changing world, but also for consistent, proportionate assistance that provides confidence and stability,” says Jūratė Danėnienė, an innovation and entrepreneurship expert at Kaunas Science and Technology Park.
This spring the program has been expanded by adding the Pivot session. Aleksander Tonnisson, co-founder of BuildIT Accelerator (Estonia) will introduce the enterprise models and pivot examples that drive startups to the success.
