“MedAccelerator.lt”, the medtech accelerator program that started in spring this year, has reached its finale on 15 December. At the Demo Day, six startup teams revealed their progress to an international jury of investors and a league of mentors who evaluated the pitches.
"We have worked with ten selected startup teams and finished the MedAccelerator Bootcamp in April. Later, the participants continued their entrepreneurial journey in the accelerator programme and presented the six most promising innovations today, which received a lot of feedback from healthtech experts and investors. Congrats to the teams of “Biownlight” and “Bioremedium” who received an opportunity to a study visit in “YES!Delft” accelerator in the Netherlands", says Jūratė Danėnienė, the coordinator of the program and R&D services expert at Tech-Park Kaunas.
The virtual pitch stage brought together developers of a solution for treating psoriasis, innovators of light therapy, platforms for emotional intelligence and dentist search, and startups developing other healthtech innovations. The pitches were evaluated by representatives of “Firstpick”, “Baltic Sandbox Ventures”, “CoInvest Capital” funds, Lithuanian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (LT VCA) as well as by health technology experts from “Rubedos”, “2AM Health”, Kaunas City Polyclinic and other organisations, US Silicon Valley investment expert and educator Gail Christine Gannon, investor Daniel Kulig and others.
MedAccelerator.lt is a medtech accelerator program that combines the best of Tech-Park Kaunas' entrepreneurial practices and academic potential for startups. It aims to provide the practical knowledge needed to develop and bring a new medical product to the market.
