Lithuania's startup ecosystem has made an impressive leap up the global rankings. According to Startup Genome 2023, we have moved up by 20 positions. Among the 100 fastest-growing startup ecosystems in the world, we are ranked from 41 to 50. Innovation experts highlight the rapid breakthrough and the favourable public perception by the academic and business community, which is contributing to the interest in startups.
The Tech-Park Kaunas team, together with the Minded VDU Centre for Entrepreneurship and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, presented the region's experience in strengthening the promotion of entrepreneurial culture in Romania in early June. One of the experiences presented was the annual Kaunas Startup Awards, which bring innovators together. It is seen by innovation experts as a best practice that motivates new teams to innovate and brings together key organisations in the startup ecosystem.
The international team of the Interreg Europe programme VIADUCT invited to share their experiences on how different EU regions can foster the creation of spin-offs, support their activities and their role in the innovation valleys currently emerging across the EU.
