Kaunas startups, innovative companies and teams were invited to a meeting of Innovation Community on the 2nd of February by Kaunas Science and Technology Park and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania. Participants were introduced to state’s support measures and the next steps in preparing the Innovation Reform 2.0.
Vice-ministers of Economics and Innovation Ministry Eglė Markevičiūtė and Vincas Jurgutis presented Lithuanian Government support programs for businesses affected by COVID-19 and introduced measures which are planning to use to promote investments in business innovations. The event was moderated by Kaunas STP Director Paulius Nezabitauskas.
Businesses are invited to use government supported loans, subsidies, business credits. As main priority sectors in Innovation Policy were mentioned fintech, which is in leading position, as well as in the face of a pandemic highlighted role of edtech, high potential and adaptability of gametech and growing popularity of spacetech.
