The startup ecosystem in Lithuania is growing rapidly, which is reflected not only in the number of attracted venture capital investments, but also in the increased participation of startup founders in R&D programs. Together with the Minister for Economy and Innovation, Aušrine Armonaitė, and a team from the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, we met to discuss relevant measures to promote innovation. We discussed how to create an innovation-friendly environment, tax reform, and talent policy.
"We want Tech-Park Kaunas to remain one of the most active participants in the startup ecosystem and to become a leader in business and science collaboration not only in the region but also in Lithuania. It is also very important to ensure the development of the companies and to encourage investments, therefore, in meetings with Kaunas business representatives we want to hear their expectations and present financial instruments that could contribute to accelerated development," says Aušrinė Armonaitė.
The Innovators' Breakfast brought together technology developers, innovation policymakers, and startup teams. Innovators from the biotech startup Genomika and the developers of the identity security solution Idenfy team have been invited to visit their workspaces and showcase the daily life of a startup.
