The Technology Demonstration Centre of Tech-Park Kaunas was visited by the Italian astronaut General Roberto Vittori, the Special Ambassador of Expo Rome 2030 Sebastiano Cardi, who is also the professor and expert in nano-satellites at the Sapienza University in Roma, and the Second Secretary of the Embassy of Italy in Vilnius, the Deputy Head of the Representation, Ms Alice Barberis. The Park’s team together with Kaunas University of Technology Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Assoc. Prof. Dr Leonas Balaševičius presented the potential of technology developers and entrepreneurship in Kaunas.
The guests also visited the office of IoT solution developers Singleton Labs and learned about how smart post offices are being developed. We continued their tour in the laboratory of the robotics company Rubedos, and got acquainted with the solution being developed by Gruppo FOS Lithuania for the monitoring of patients who are recovering from stroke.
Guests engaged in a discussion on how the start-up community is looking for ways to improve the detection, tracking and identification of active and inactive satellites, rocket bodies and debris.
