The pandemic shapes the new contours of labor market and makes the linear economy glitches more severe. In this case, “Circular HRM” consortium encourages the innovative solutions to fight and overcome these challenges in post pandemic era. A new approach to human resources management must be adopted so that the circular economy can also respond to the social problems that the linear economy produces.
Kaunas STP international projects team has joined the European “Circular HRM” consortium which aims to stimulate European companies to apply the principles of circular human resource management. Even though the initiative has been designed before the global Covid-19 pandemic, it has become much more important in these challenging time.
The consortium seeks to ensure continuous improvement of skills and competences in the workplace and support sustainable business and country development. These actions could diminish the social problems of the linear economy, including unemployment, skills mismatch, stress and depression in the workplace, work of ageing populations and more.
The “Circular HRM” consortium is coordinated by “Pour la Solidarité” organization in Belgium and connects seven collaborating partners in Ireland, Belgium, Spain, Lithuania, Italy and North Macedonia. By creating an e-training and knowledge-sharing platform and designing the on-the-job and online training courses, the partners seeks to enhance a circular approach to the management of the human resources of the companies.
