About the Project
RENATURE is a European cooperation project aimed at strengthening resilience to climate change through the understanding, implementation, and co-management of Nature-based Solutions (NbS). The project focuses on enhancing education and skills related to environmental sustainability while supporting the EU green transition and the development of inclusive green employment opportunities.
Nature-based Solutions are increasingly recognised as effective and cost-efficient approaches to climate change mitigation and adaptation, capable of generating multiple environmental, economic, and social benefits. RENATURE responds to the growing need for structured educational pathways on NbS by expanding the current educational offer with open, digital, and practice-oriented learning resources.
The project integrates theoretical knowledge and applied competences, supporting learners, educators, and practitioners in understanding different NbS typologies, their fields of application, and their implementation and co-management approaches. Particular attention is given to participatory and community-based models, highlighting how NbS can contribute to inclusive governance, youth employability, and green sector development.
All project outputs will be produced as Open Educational Resources (OER) and made openly accessible in digital format to support dissemination, replication and long-term impact across vocational education and training, higher education and lifelong learning contexts.
Expected Results
