Open to new opportunities! Seven startups based in Kaunas, Vilnius and Tallinn, Estonia, completed their pre-acceleration program this Tuesday. The program, which started in September, allowed the teams to learn about the essential stages of developing innovative products/solutions and to deepen their knowledge of pre-acceleration. We are delighted that this time the Demo Day presentations were joined by teams from the Scale-up Champions international deep-tech community.
The EVOLUT 4.0 Demo Day attracted 14 investors, business angels and entrepreneurs from the European, Israeli, US venture capital and startup communities. Representatives of investment funds and venture capital such as Launchpad Capital, MJJ Fund, Gold Ventures Investment, CoInvest Capital, 70 Ventures, Baltic Sandbox, and Lithuanian business angel network (LitBAN) were interested in the participants of the program, and evaluated the startups' presentations at the virtual event. The jury was also joined by members of the startup ecosystem in New York, the Baltic American Chamber of Commerce and the BAJ Accelerator team, Donal Green, CEO of Trustmatic.io, and Tal Catran, investor and business acceleration guru.
The pre-accelerator program lasted for three months. During 20 virtual and hybrid events, technology developers learned about the key elements of prototyping, business development, marketing, sales promotion through training, workshops and practical sessions. Startups also engaged in a mentoring program and improved their product/solution presentations. Startups in the fields of edtech, green tech, logistics optimization, retail tech presented their innovative solutions to the EVOLUT 4.0 Demo Day jury.
The event was also attended by the participants of the third cycle of the Scale-up Champions' Investment Readiness program, who are looking for opportunities to expand into new markets. These include Estonian startup ClickLog, which is developing a software solution for truckload optimization, and Swarmcheck, a team from Poland developing AI-based information maps.
