That last figure is worth dwelling on. In 2024, the same community paid 13.8M € in taxes. The jump to 48.5M € in a single year reflects not just growth in company count, but a meaningful shift in how these companies are operating.
R&D that goes beyond the average
70.4% of community companies ran active R&D activities in 2025. Their R&D investment rate reached 12% of revenue — compared to 0.53% for the Lithuanian business sector average and 1.49% for the EU average.
108 new products and services were launched. 35 companies developed new technologies or solutions.
Community and jobs
592 people work across community companies. 41 new jobs were created during the year. 194 active researchers are part of the community.
International reach
Export revenue grew from ~36M € to ~66M €, now accounting for 56.6% of total community revenue. 31 companies are actively operating in international markets.
2025 was also a significant year on the international front. Tech-Park Kaunas joined EBN — a network of 170+ innovation centres across 35 countries — connected to ODIN, the Nordic-Baltic defence innovation network, and expanded its role in the NATO DIANA ecosystem. 16 international projects were active during the year, with 29 EU funding applications submitted.
