eSilver Tour – Digital Marketing Competencies Development for Silver Tourism Expert |
|
2020-1-FR01-KA202-079845 Implementation period: 01-10-2020 – 30-09-2023 |
The silver economy is linked to demographic trends in Europe, the impact on the quality of life of older people and the wider EU economy. The silver economy is defined as the economic opportunities arising from the societal costs associated with an aging population and the specific needs of the over-50 population. Older people spend 18-20 years in retirement, so they need new life content, new cognitive and emotional challenges, up-to-date information on how to be active participants in society. The silver tourism sector was chosen in the project. Effectively developed silver tourism has a positive effect both on the active aging of the population and on the tourism sector itself, as it helps to minimize the seasonality of tourism.
The goal of the project – to strengthen the digital competences of senior organizations and silver tourism specialists, responding to the psychosocial and physical needs and expectations of silver tourists.
To achieve the project's aim, the following objectives are set:
analyze the competencies of silver tourism and digital marketing by preparing a tourism expert's portfolio;
prepare innovative digital marketing educational materials in the fields of tourism and active aging;
validate the educational platform with the learning course material;
organize training and networking events.
